The treetop cabins
The log house draws on a long tradition of using log houses in the inland. The log house also has a very special reference in Feiring with Carsten Anker's gazebo, where the log is not used for a sensible dwelling or a makeshift storehouse, but a gazebo for recreation and leisure. The treetop cabins are built in this tradition, but interpreted for a new era.
The cabins are compact, but open up in several directions so that you can enjoy the long view of Sandvikbekken farm. And even though the cabins are small, they should feel open to those who visit them. Rather than sitting inside a house, you should experience sitting in the treetops and looking out. On the loft, however, you can close yourself in more, lie down while looking into the trees and the forest, or down to the forest floor.
The two cabins are somewhat different in design, since they are tailored to two different locations in the landscape.
